ED MILLIBAND - CABINET 2026

Ed
Milliband - Foreign Secretary
Ed Miliband was appointed Foreign Secretary in July 2026, giving up his former position as energy secretary to Miatta Fahnbulleh. Just as wildfires rage across Spain, France and Scotland. The writing is on the wall for all to see, but our governments have put their telescopes to their blind eye.
Some have been saying hydrogen is the answer, clean and renewable energy, but there is no infrastructure in place to make that happen and current competition thinking, as carrots to ensnare ideas, is miles away from the most obvious solutions - mainly because our current machinery uses fossil fuels. The whole world revolves around petroleum and oil, to wit the Iranian grip on our economy, by attacking oil tankers sailing the Strait of Hormuz.
Take oil out of the equation, and Russia has no oil revenues to attack Ukraine, and Iran loses their bargaining chip.
Meanwhile, our armed forces are way behind the times, with procurement fraud partly to blame, alongside the weakness of ministers, who should have seen robotic warfare coming, and indeed were shown the way, but chose instead to invest in aircraft carriers and destroyers, instead of drone ships. Sad, but true. The British Royal Navy is always behind the curve when it comes to technology.
The change, if it ever comes before wildfires engulf this scorched and less pleasant land, may be too late to prevent total desertification of the planet. The vision and funding to save the world may take a little more that a few heat waves and local high temperatures records being broken. Ed did his best, while he had the chance, but Keir Starmer failed to deliver on a new national grid, to challenge the existing choke to innovation. The same for affordable housing, amid the destruction of greenfields and irreplaceable potential world heritage assets, as developers like Persimmon, plough up oak saplings that were re-wilding nicely. With the blessing of the Secretary of State for housing. But not for much needed low cost housing. Genuinely affordable, that is.

Labour from 2010 to 2015, stepping down following the party’s crushing loss to the Tories at the 2015 general election.

FOSSIL FOOLS - Geriatric politicians with 'climate-senile' policies will find in difficult to break away from their corrupt ways, as part time politicians with two jobs. Their main job being to find paid consultancy work, rather than craft policies and create statute that works to protect our voters from lung cancer, energy shortages and a lack of affordable (sustainable) housing.
The 'zerophobics' are the undertakers of the political world, sending millions of ordinary people to an early grave, while loading us with NHS, hospital and staff costs that would not be needed if we had clean air in our cities.
Basically, the longer you are in politics, the more likely you are to be exposed to bribes, from climate deniers, mostly fossil fuel and energy companies, looking to keep on pumping toxic fumes into the atmosphere, so they can keep making money. The political undertakers are working with them to keep hospitals stocked with cancer victims, adding to the £Trillions we owe as part of the national debt. Under Boris and Rishi Sunack, pensioner's saving have halved in real terms. They are blood sucking vampires, draining what little you had saved for your retirement.
